I went to Kakes for the first time with my girls a couple of weeks ago. As a regular cannabis consumer, I had been eyeing this spot for a while, so I was excited to go. I will start by saying that it is a nicely decorated spot with a nice ambiance (plus it was clean). The front of the spot resembles a traditional restaurant, but the back was more of a lounge area - which is where my friends and I were seated. I enjoyed the fact that the smoking area was nicely ventilated and that the facility provides guests with a rolling tray (plus there were free cones). Our waiters were incredibly accommodating as well. Despite this, Kakes left a lot to be desired. First of all, the Tik Tok music playing overhead was getting increasingly louder, making it hard to hear the people right next to, and across from, me. I had requested to purchase some flower, and all they had were $40 pre-rolls of mid grade flower. Once I broke the pre roll down, I noticed a lot of stems in the weed. The remainder of the bud smoked alright, but I was a bit taken aback by the lack of inventory and the quality/price of the remaining inventory (even more shocked because it was the week of 4/20). From the moment we walked in, Valentina broke EVERYTHING down — super detailed about the milligrams which I loved 👏🏽 made the whole experience feel safe + elevated. Shoutout to Roberto too, super attentive and made sure we were good the whole time 🙌🏽 The food?? 10/10 😮‍🔥 mac & cheese = chef’s kiss, quesadillas were BUSSIN. And the mocktails?? sooo good, perfectly balanced 🍹✨ Vibes, service, food… everything on point. Definitely coming back 💯

We had a delicious brunch and while we were waiting for the event to start We had dessert, some chocolate chip cookies. The pictures below shows our brunch and then pictures of the infused pizza making class. We can't wait for their next class. Let's see what we will be making.

I had an incredible time at Kakes! Juju, my server, was incredibly friendly and provided exceptional service. The entire staff was phenomenal. The food was delicious, and the chefs were incredibly fast. I’m definitely going here again! They provide rolling and ashtrays and allow you to partake in and outdoors as well ;)

This place was definitely a vibe! The ambiance was fun, chill, and welcoming…perfect for a night out with friends or a low-key date. As for the food, it was just okay! I went with a simple hamburger and truffle fries (non-infused), and honestly, they were pretty average. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. We did try the infused sangria, and while it tasted refreshing, it didn’t give the effect I was expecting. Now, the infused brownie slice….That was the real MVP. Delicious and powerful…let’s just say I was floating on cloud nine afterward! I only had a small fraction of the brownie. Overall, come for the vibes and the edibles, but don’t expect to be wowed by the regular food.
